343 Days Later
Yep, that's how many days since the last "update". I can't even begin to convey how much has happened during that time in my own life, much less anyone else's in No Budget. A year's a long time, but this past year was especially long due to some truly life-changing events. Sadly, the hobby of impromptu filmmaking has become a luxury for many of us, so our energetic and close-knitted production company has become a thing of the past.
Though not entirely. The ironic thing is that, even though no genuine "No Budget Picture" has been made in some time, many of us have been quite active, sometimes even working as true professionals in the world of entertainment. Others, meanwhile, have taken on nobler (and, admittedly, more secure) career paths. It's astonishing to look back at something we once did and then see what we now do. What's even more astonishing is to see how what we did shaped what we eventually ended up doing. Even if it has nothing remotely to do with makin' movies, the traits of those movies still reflect on us, even to this day.
"So, what is this?! Yar blag?!" No, but it's a summation as to why this site, one which most of its creators probably forgot exists, is another one of those "Hey look! We totally got a new website for our movies now!!11!!1!"-andthenit'sgone sites. The irony is that, according to my own summation, virtually nobody looks at this site anymore except for me, the guy that is updating it. And you know what? That sucks.
"So, what are you gonna do?! Call it quits?!" Honestly, that is the most logical choice, but seeing as to how my sense of logic tends to operate (read: stubbornly), I have another idea. One that calls for changes...big changes. Changes that, once changed, will blow your f--king mind. OK, maybe not mind-blowing, but they'll at least give people (read: us) reasons to use this site again. It will happen, probably not overnight, but eventually it will. Plus I need to make a new website to promote my own film portfolio so I can get a job too, but THAT has little to do with the changes coming HERE. Just a little.
